JOB SUMMARY

A law firm is looking to hire a junior conveyancing lawyer that has suitable talent

with the right attitude, skill set, and aspirations, as well as participate

as a member of the firm in client development activity and to promote the firm.


JOB DESCRIPTION: 

  • Assist with all aspects of property conveyancing from start to finish. 

  • Learn and keep abreast of relevant areas of law and legal procedure

  • Liaise with clients

  • Pre and Post completion matters

  • Should be able to draft legal reports as well as client care letter

  • Submit Stamp Duty Land Tax as at scheduled time

  • Liaise with banks and bank solicitors as well as other solicitors.

  • Maintain precedent letters and document management

  • Ad-hoc administrative tasks

  • Support the team as needed

  • Monitor client accounts for exchanges and completions

  • Manage all Conveyancing Client’s work.

  • Ensure client communication and contact are regular, timely, and sufficient for the client’s requirements.

  • Coordinate work in accordance with the firm’s set procedures and quality standards.


JOB QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • B.A/.LLB Law Degree

  • Excellent written and spoken English (modern English)

  • Advanced IT skills (comfortable with apps and tools to facilitate remote working ) 

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Produce work to the required standard of the profession to encourage referrals and repeat business.

  • Finished Law School 

  • Lived or traveled outside Nigeria (even if just to another African country such as Ghana) 

  • Minimum 1-2year 

  • Legal experience 

  • Keen interest in specializing in property law. 


SALARY:
N150,000 but (the first 3 months will be a probationary training period and will be paid at 50% rate)
