New Deadline for PVC Collection

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has extended the deadline for collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) across the country by additional two weeks.

The collection will continue until March 22^nd 2015, superseding the earlier deadline of March 08^th 2015.

 This latest extension offers the last opportunity for duly registered persons to collect their PVCs before the general elections scheduled for March 28^th and April 11^th, 2015.

 INEC hereby calls on registered persons that are yet to collect their PVCs to use this last opportunity in doing so, in order to participate in the forthcoming general elections.

• Working on designs to produce an effective advertising campaign

• Commissioning specialists, such as artists and photographers, to work on projects

• Managing projects and working within a budget

• Editing the final results for presentation to the client

• Working closely with the copywriter to generate creative ideas and concepts to fulfil the client's brief;

A Copywriter is urgently needed in a Leading Marketing Communications and Advertising firm in Lagos, 3 to 6 years work experience in a similar role will be required.

Responsibilities include:

• Writing clear, concise, persuasive, original copy;
• Coming up with the big idea for campaigns. developing creative ideas and concepts, executing them in print and script formats (TV & Radio scripts);
• Liaising with clients and Strategy colleagues in interpreting client and creative briefs;
• Presenting ideas to colleagues and clients;
• Work with Art Directors to produce original concepts that fit a brief;
• Ensure that ads adhere to the relevant codes of advertising practice;
• Familiarization with clients’ products and services, the target audience and competitors’ activities via personal research;
• Proofreading copy to check spelling and grammar;
• Amending, revising or redeveloping adverts or campaigns in response to feedback from the creative director, account team or clients;
• Overseeing campaigns through the production stage to completion;
• Working on several campaigns at once, sometimes under pressure and often to tight deadlines;
• Liaising with production companies, photographers, typographers, designers and printers;
• Keeping up to date with popular culture and trends;
