ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
General
§    Updates IT strategies, plans, policies and procedures in line with Company’s corporate strategy ensuring availability of robust IT platforms to support Company’s business operations
§    Drives the implementation of IT strategy and policies
§    Prepares annual IT budget and monitors expenditure to ensure adequate return on IT
investments.
§    Prepares management reports
§    Liaises with the Internet Service Providers, Managed Hosting Service Provider and other vendors for cost effective services and high performance in line with Service Level Agreements
§    Reviews performance of business applications to ensure capacity to support changing business demands
Email Support
§    Creates and maintains user accounts
§    Allocates mail box sizes
§    Provides first level support and troubleshoots for email related issues
Business Applications and Database Support
§    Creates and maintains application user accounts and grant user roles
  §    Installs and configures patches and upgrades as required.
  §    Monitors and maintains business applications databases to minimize downtime
§    Performs application and database backup
§    Provides first level support and troubleshooting for business application related issues

Network Support
§    Ensures end user’s workstations are connected to the network
§    Ensures business applications and resources are available to users

Website Support
§    Designs, and manages company’s  internet and intranet websites

Desktop Support
§    Deploys  new  workstations/computers  for  all  users,  upgrades  hardware  and  software  as needed
§    Performs regular maintenance checks of equipment such as telephones, scanners, printers and  ensures that the equipment are ready for use
 
  §    Liaises with external maintenance vendors for the repair of systems.
  §    Maintains antivirus software for all end user computers
 
 
EDUCATION
§    First degree / HND in Computer Science
§    Relevant Master’s degree is an advantage
 
 
EXPERIENCE
§    Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role
 
§  Good  knowledge in:
o Managed hosting service/server
 
o Backup and replication technologies
 
o Email and messaging platform
 
o   MS SQL, PhP
 
o Networking , including LAN/WAN architecture (Firewalls, Routers and VPN)
 
o Business Applications such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer
Relationship Management (CRM)
