POSITION SUMMARY:

The role of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is to provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of the business. The CTO will communicate with employees, stakeholders and customers to ensure the company’s technologies are used appropriately. The CTO is expected to be well- versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concept and also an excellent communicator and public speaker.Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with the company’s goals 
• Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage 
• Help departments use technology profitably 
• Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency 
• Build quality assurance and data protection processes 
• Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance 
• Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology 
• Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors 
  

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Age: Not more than 40 years
• 2:1 (BSc/BA) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field 
• MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus 
  
• A minimum of 8 - 15 years professional experience in varied sectors.
• Proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role 
• Over 3 years of experience in the Nigerian Fintech industry 
• Over 6 years actively developing or building payments technology or infrastructure in the Nigerian market 
• Knowledge of Nigerian technological trends to build strategy 
• Understanding of budgets and business-planning 
• Ability to conduct technological analyses and research  
•  Excellent communication skills
• Leadership and organizational abilities 
• Strategic thinking 
• Problem-solving aptitude 

SALARY: N18M per annum with other packages including share options up to N8M. Total package up to 45M
