Job Brief:
He/She will be responsible for the end to end production of company’s Nigerian meals and continental dishes as well as other pastries and dessert items. Ensure top quality of food ingredients or prepared foods.

Job Description:
  • Cook different kinds of dishes on a daily production goals as required by the company.
  • Carry out prepping process, all items/ingredients used for the production of cooked/baked goods must be processed accordingly, i.e. measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients (according to established protocols and recipes of the company).
  • Ensure food surfaces and cooking/baking equipment meet all health and safety standards.
  • Should be able to avoid food wastage or production equipment in the kitchen.
  • Master and manage the use of all cooking/baking equipment.
  • Conduct quality check of cooked/baked goods before they leave the kitchen.
  • Clean kitchen and keep it in a presentable, clean and hygienic state at all stages of food preparation

Job Requirement:
  • A degree or related education in food handling.
  • Three to five years previous experience as a chef/cook.
  • Capable of working early mornings, nights, and weekends in a fast-paced environment

Skills Desired:
  • Prior experience as a cook or steward.
  • Should be able to cook local  meals Nigerian meals (jollof rice, beans, various soups) as well as continental dishes
  • Prior experience in catering/food and beverage department/ kitchen at a hotel.
  • Should be able to cook for large orders/parties
  • Hygienic individual
  • Clear and friendly communications skills in English, both verbal and non-verbal
  • A disciplined person

SALARY:  N80,000 depending on experience
