SALARY: N150,000-N200,000 gross monthly salary
JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a talented marketing and brand coordinator who is not only
well-versed in social media marketing, but also possesses creativity and a deep understanding of the stakeholders we are targeting. This person will play a key role in promoting and growing the sport of squash for our non-profit, which is dedicated to nurturing, developing, and promoting Nigerian amateur and non-professional athletes on their journey to becoming professionals.
We are looking for a passionate individual who is a sports fanatic, particularly in squash. This
individual will play a crucial role in our team, as their enthusiasm for the sport will bring added value and reduce the need for excessive compensation.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing and
branding strategies across various social media platforms to increase awareness of the brand,
engage with customers, and drive participation in Squash as well as increase the organization's visibility, brand recognition, and revenue.
ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Develop and execute marketing and social media plans and branding strategies to increase awareness of the organization’s brand and promote the sport of Squash, while implementing and promoting activities with a can-do and passionate attitude.
● As a key responsibility, the successful candidate will be expected to take initiative as a self-starter, leveraging their expertise to create a strong media presence and generate buzz around our accomplishments.
● Create and maintain the company’s brand guidelines and objectives to ensure consistency across all marketing channels.
● Curate engaging content for social media channels (including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube) that appeal to both current and potential players, followers and stakeholders.
● Work with other team members and internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute events, sponsorships, and other promotional activities that drive participation in squash and for our organization
● Collaborate with team and board members to create content for newsletters, email campaigns, amongst other activities
● Develop strategies and execute initiatives to increase fan engagement, loyalty, and retention
● Stay up to date with emerging trends and best practices in social media marketing, and
provide insights and recommendations to improve social media presence and engagement.
● Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for growth and optimization
● Collaborate with the design team to develop visually appealing and on-brand graphics, videos, and other multimedia content for our social media pages
● Track and report on key performance metrics related to marketing and brand initiatives.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
● B.sc in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field
● At least 3-5 years of work experience in Social media marketing, branding, corporate
Marketing or related experience
● Passion for sports, specifically squash, with knowledge of the sport's history, rules, and
culture in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field
● Strong project management skills.
● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
● Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
● Ability to work independently and in a team environment
● Skilled in creating and curating engaging content that resonates with both current and potential squash
● Great interpersonal skills and in working across functional teams and with external stakeholders like the Squash Federation, other Squash non-profit organizations etc.
● Analytical skills to measure effectiveness of campaigns or activities i.e. ROI (Return on
Investment) and other performance metrics.
